EVERY BIRD THAT FLY'S

"Every bird that fly's."

I know.  That leaves you hanging.  What does it mean?
The truth of the matter is that it does not matter whether
it is; birds, bees, cats, dogs, cows or horses.  We could
say, any warm blood mammal or almost any living
organism.  Flying birds just happened to be the thing
that is so obvious to me.

I just finished reading a book by a famed medical
doctor and researcher.  Yes, the book was about our
human physical body, not birds or the bees.  But there
was something that was so obvious to me that I am
stunned that more people do not see it.

The human body is so intricate or complex that it
is astounding that it can even survive.  Consider
the close critical relationship of the various chemicals
that compose the body and there relationship to the
many different organs that need them to function.
That is why our hospitals are full.  Some one or the
other of these organs or chemicals is out of balance
and needed to survive.

Now how on earth am I supposed to believe that
somehow all of this just happened by chance?
Why am I supposed to believe that any of these
organisms was able to survive without the necessary
chemical and electrical balances.  Especially until
they were able to develop those needs over long
periods of time.

Consider even lifeless things such as cars, trucks,
airplanes, computers etc.  We talk about their
"evolution".  But consider this.  Every step in their
development or evolution had a designer behind
it.  It did not just happen by chance.  Especially
it did not develop for NOTHING.

That is why I say;

EVERY TIME A BIRD FLY'S IT
PROVES THE FOLLY OF
EVOLUTION.

"Only fools say in their hearts,
'There is no God."
(Psalms 14:1 NLT)

TODAY'S QUOTE

"God is not looking for brilliant men, is not
depending upon eloquent men, is not shut
up to the use of talented men in sending His
gospel out in the world.  God is looking for
broken men who have judged themselves in
the light of the cross of Christ.  When He
wants anything done, He takes up men who
have come to the end of themselves, whose
confidence is not in themselves, but in God."

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Greed causes fighting;
trusting the LORD leads to prosperity.
Those who trust their own insight are
foolish, but anyone who walks in
wisdom is safe."

JOY

"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come
your way, consider it an opportunity for great
joy.  For you know that when you faith is tested,
your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it
grow, for when your endurance is fully developed,
you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
(James 1:2-4 NLT)

I have lived longer than most of you.  One of the things
I have noticed over all these years is that life is full
of problems, pains, disappointments, trials etc.  That
is simply life.  But why does God let it be that way?

I have been a student [at least a reader] of the Holy
Bible for over sixty years.  And the thing I am finally
beginning to see is God has a purpose in all this turmoil.

One.  If we did not have all these problems we would
think that we could handle it.  We would not realize
that very little is really under our control.  And instead
of seeking God for help, we would slide straight into
the Devil's hell.

Two.  Once we turn to God and give him control
over our lives, the problems continue, BUT.
The purpose is different.  Let me explain.

In our area there are some big buildings that they
call, "gyms".  Now I have not been in them.  I have
too much work to do to spend time there.  But they
tell me that people actually pay money to go in there
and "work out".  They work hard on a machine going
no where just to work up a sweat or get sore muscles.
You get the point, all that effort is for the health of
their bodies.

After I am the property of God, all the trials, tests,
hardships, disappointments etc. are used to develop
me into the person God wants me to be.  Then when
this life is over I will be the kind of person He wants
me to be in body and spirit.

Yes these problems hurt.  But I am happy to know
that in the end God is using them to help me.

"We are not meant to be seen as God's perfect,
bright-shining examples, but to be seen as the
everyday essence of ordinary lives exhibiting

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Seek the LORD while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near.
Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing
wrong.  Let them turn to the LORD that
he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive
generously."
(Isaiah 55:6,7 NLT)

WORRIES AND CARES

It seems people have more worries and cares
than ever.  In this day and age I notice it so much
more than in past years.  There are worries from
work, or the lack of work.  Worries about relationships,
bills, safety etc, etc, etc.

If you think you are the only one with worries
turn to the social media and follow all the people
who are asking for prayer for one reason or another.
It also seems that a high percentage of the posters
are people with problems and they do nothing
but moan and grown about it meaning they are
still worrying about it, him, her etc.

Corrie Ten Boom said it so well when she said;

"Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's
strength - carrying two days at once.  It is moving
into tomorrow ahead of time.  Worrying doesn't
empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today
of its strength."

There are people who try and tell you to just
stop worrying and look on the bright side of
things.  The only problem here is - it don't work,
and it sure don't pay the bills.

Do you want to know something that does work?
Stick with me through a few points.

Jesus Christ said;
"So don't worry about these things, saying,
'What will we eat?  What will we drink?
What will we wear?  These things dominate
the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly
father already knows all about your needs.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else,
and live righteously, and he will give you
everything you need."
(Matthew 6:31-33 NLT)

Did you see the conditions that Christ put in
there?

1.  Worry is something that should only be in
the domain of UNBELIEVERS.
2. "...our heavenly father..." God is not the
father of us all.  The Scriptures make it
clear that most of the people in the world
are children of the DEVIL, not of God.
So if you are not in relationship with God
Almighty you have lots and lots of reasons
to worry.
3. Your focus has to be on God and his Kingdom.
If you are focused on you and your little kingdom
God is not obligated to take care of you.

God does care about you, even if you belong to
the Devil.  He knows the number of the hairs on
your head, if you have any.  But to just live for
yourself and expect God to get you out of trouble
is like taking all your bills and throwing them in
the front yard of some banker or other and
expecting him to pay them for you.

Speaking to God fearing and loving Christians,

Saint Peter said;
"Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about you."
(1 Peter 5:7 NLT)

Let me tell you about a young man I worked
with many, many years ago.  He was what we
called a "worry wart" back then.  He worried
about every thing.  And if he did not have anything
to worry about - that worried him,

We of course had talked about his need for God
in his life.  So one night he called me on the phone
and told me he wanted to get right with God.
We went over the need to go to God and ask
him for forgiveness.  Then the need to submit
to Jesus Christ and ask Christ to come into his
life and take control etc.  So he said, "I going to
do that now."

Some time latter he called me and told me
"I did what you told me to." or something
to that effect.   I thought, "O, yea, sure, I
bet you did." or some such thought.

In a few days I began to notice something.
The boy did not worry anymore.

Saint Paul said;
"Don't worry about anything; instead,
pray about everything.  Tell God what
you need, and thank him for all he has
done.  Then you will experience God's
peace, which exceeds anything we can
understand.  His peace will guard your
hearts and minds as you live in Christ
Jesus."
(Philippians 4:6,7 NLT)

"We can build influence by self-promotion,
but God will only promote those who do not
promote themselves.  That which is built on
self-promotion will have to be maintained by
human striving.  Those who allow God to build
the house have taken a yoke that is easy and
a burden that is light."

TODAY'S PROMISE

"But in that coming day
no weapon turned against you
will succeed.
You will silence every voice
raised up to accuse you.
These benefits are enjoyed by the
servants of the LORD;
their vindication will come from
me.  I, the LORD have spoken!"
(Isaiah 54:17 NASB)

MY DEFENDER

If I were to run a stop sign and cause a serious
accident, you can bet that I would be in need
of an attorney, lawyer, advocate, defender or
what ever you choose to call them.  I would be
in serious trouble and need their help for breaking
the law.

Life is like that.  I have no idea how many of
God's stop signs I have run or how much
trouble for myself or others I have caused.
Yet like yourself, one day I am going to have
to stand before all mighty God and give an
account for all those failures of mine.

But I have a defender, attorney, lawyer and
advocate all wrapped up in one  - JESUS CHRIST.

It is common knowledge that Jesus came to
die as a sacrifice in our place - if we will
accept that fact, and that through him my
sins can be forgiven.

But there is something else that we give
little attention to.  Read this short portion
from the Holy Bible;

"But because Jesus lives forever, his
priesthood lasts forever.  Therefore he
is able, once and forever, to save those
who come to God through him.  He lives
forever to intercede with God on their
behalf."
(Hebrews 7:24,25 NLT)

See that last sentence.  Jesus of course
lives forever and he will intercede with
God on my behalf for ever.

That in it's self should encourage me for
the rest of my life.
