SOMETHING DOES NOT ADD UP

Hey girls.  I am not picking on you, HONEST.
It's just that these images were all on the first
page that I turned to on Pixabay for this post.

And you and I both know that you take better
pictures than us guys.  So thanks for the girls
images.

My point.
I do not watch TV, other than seeing it
while passing through a room.  I do not
want my head filled with that stuff.

But it seems that Holywood cannot
turn out a movie without everybody
going around shooting every body
else up.

Yet, these are the same bunch of liberals
who endorse taking your guns away
from you.

IT JUST DOES NOT ADD UP.

"Some people speak as if hypocrites
were confined to religion; but they
are everywhere; people pretending
to wealth when they have not a
sixpence, assuming knowledge of
which they are ignorant, shamming
a culture they are far removed from,
adopting opinions they do not hold."

"WIST" and "...WIST NOT..."

That is my "King James Bible".
Yes, I have several.

But, I ran into a problem.

Nine times it told me,
"...wist not...".
Then it told me two times,
"...wist it not...".
And finally it told me,
"...wist ye not...".

And the way I like to "wist",
well, I simply had to change
versions so I could go on "wisting"
without my conscience bothering me.

I assume you know I did this post
for fun.  You know, jest.  But if
your wanting to "wist" ever gets
the best of you - just remember
this post.

And yes, I took each of these expressions
out of context.  That's how people make
the Bible say what they want it to.

May you have a happy "wisting"
experience today.

HOW TO GET YOUR PROMISE

"The promises of the Lord can be trusted;
they are as genuine as silver refined
seven times in the furnace."
(Psalms 12:6 GNT)

1. Meditate on God's Promises.
2. Plead the Promises at the throne of Grace.
3. Act in Faith that God Will Perform His Promises.

LIFE

"How short you have made my life!
In your sight my lifetime seems nothing.
Indeed every living being is no more
than a puff of wind,

no more than a shadow.

All we do is for nothing;
we gather wealth, but don't
know who will get it."
(Psalms 39:5,6 GNT)

One time a man had too many crops to store and decided to
build bigger barns to hold them.

"But God said to him, 'You fool!  This very night you will
have to give up your life; then who will get all these things
you have kept for yourself?'"
"And Jesus concluded, 'This is how it is with those who
pile up riches for themselves but are not rich in God's sight."
(Luke 12:20,21 GNV)

WHERE ARE YOU RICH AT?
Here or earth, or with God?

THE TALE OF TWO RABBITS

The rabbit above was named "Dooood".  You know, dude with
lots of "o's" in it.   Jordin, that's the great grand daughter, named
it.   She wanted a rabbit.  And, I knew when I bought it for her
someone else would have to take care of it for the rest of it's life.
So she picked out this little guy.  I have to give her credit, that
was the best pet rabbit I have ever seen in my life.

You know kids as well as I do.  Jordin's interest in "Dooood"
lasted about three days.  That was years ago.  "Dooood" has
gone on to rabbit heaven, if there is such a thing.

I came home a few days ago and the rabbit above, "Princess"
was in "Dooood's" cage.

Hey! Where did that rabbit come from.
You guessed it.  It had been Jordan's cousin Madison's
rabbit.  The girls are about the same age.  And like Jordin,
Madison's interest in the rabbit only lasted a short while.
So, they took it to grandpa's.

How many of us are like that with our faith?
We see a good thing and go for it -
for as short time.

"The seeds that fell on rocky ground stand for those
who receive the message gladly as soon as they hear
it.  But it does not sink deep into them, and they don't
last long.  So when trouble or persecution comes
because of the message they give up at once."
(Matthew 13:20-21 GNV)

300 MILLION YEARS

300 MILLION YEARS.

You are a dreamer.

Some one on eBay had a much better specimen of a fossil
than this for sale.  [Sorry.  This was the best one I could
come up with now.  All the good ones I gave away to kids.]
It was claimed to be 300 million years old.  It only went for
$5.00.  Wish I had bought it.  Where did the 300 million
years come from?  Out of the thin air.

I have several acres of woods that have these fossils
of sea shells scattered all around in them.  They are
similar to the one our friend above sold.  They are
located at an elevation of about 2000 feet above
sea level and about 500 mile from the ocean.

BUT.
They are only about 4300 to 4500 years old.
How do I know that?  By eye witness accounts.
About 4300 to 4500 years ago the greatest cataclysm
event this old world ever knew happened.  And only
eight people survived it.  The rest of the human race
was wiped out.  And this account has been passed
down for thousands of years now.

Personally I prefere to accept the eye witness account
over the wild speculation of some pseudo scientist.
Of course, our friend might be 300 million years old.
But the fossil they sold is not.

The other side of the same "rock" or fossil.

Here is another image of one of the fossils found on
the same piece of property.  I found it in the archives
of my computer after starting this post.

If you want to read about this account,
get the HOLY BIBLE out.  Go to the front,
turn to chapter seven and read it.
