and keep the vows you have made to the
Most High. Then call on me when you are in
trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will
give me glory.” (Psalms 50:14,15 NLT).

READ IT FOR YOURSELF.
After reading and studying the Bible many years
I have learned that there is a lot of misinformation
about it. Even a large number of honest, truthful
people hold some wrong teachings about it.
The problem seems to be not the person, preacher
or teacher. But the fact that they took somebody
else's word for something without checking it out.
READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF.
The Apostle Paul mentions such people when
he said;
"For some men, straying from these things,
have turned aside to fruitless discussion,
wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though
they do not understand either what they are
saying or the matters about which they make
confident assertions."
(1Timothy 1:6,7 NASB)
Jesus Christ said it a different way;
"Let them alone; they are blind guides of the
blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man,
both will fall into a pit."
(Matthew 15:14 NASB)
READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF.
If you will read the Bible for yourself you will not
need to read all those other books about the Bible.
But you will have the straight truth for yourself.
Just a personal suggestion.
If possible use a version that uses the same
language that you do. There is nothing especially
Holy about reading the Bible in some quaint odd
language that no one uses anymore
I would further suggest that you do not read
it in a hurry. But take it slow and easy. Let
it talk to you. Ask God to reveal the things
to you that he wants you to see and understand.

agendas, activities and pleasures

only purpose for which Christ

“The better my apologetics skills
became, the more I relied on my
logic and knowledge. Time and again,
I found myself winning arguments -
but not converts.”

“… holiness requires waiting on God.
Without spending time in the presence
of the Holy one, no one can become
holy - for God alone is the source of all
holiness.” - Y.P. Yohannan in The Road
