LEARNING

That is two of my great grand kids at work. They caught me in one of my shops. Their question, "Grandpa can we make something?"
After granting permission they headed straight from my scrap metal pile. They did not know what they wanted to make or how. But they jumped right in making "stuff".
It almost hurt watching them TRY to work. I was very tempted to step in and do it for them. But how else are they going to learn?
As I watched them I could not but wonder, are we like that in God's sight. Does he in love let us blunder around so we can learn?

The little boy made this for grandpa. It is a weapon. Something to throw at the bad guys. And all I had to do was tie the string for him. Can't beat that.

Oh my goodness, that made me laugh! It also brought back many a memory from the days of my youth when I begged, pleaded & prodded my mother to let me make something from her crochet yarn. Try as I might, I always ended up with one incredibly long tangle of nothingness. But it was sure pretty.

I think you gave those grandchildren more than they gave you (though I could sure use a weapon like that). And "yes", God does love our creative efforts. Remember, He WANTS us to be as children.

Blessings,
Kathleen

As only a grandparent can, I love this... both the picture of those 2 cute ones, and the story. And yes, I know God has watched me blunder many times and yet He has patiently waited and guided me.

Great post Luther. Precious grandkids!
