That is my normal view of the wife's cat.
It is her cat, but it keeps hanging around me.
And really, I would just as soon it went somewhere else.
So!
The crazy cat wants to be with me, and I don't even feed it.
I don't even want to bother with it. [I know, that's mean of me.]
Did you know, God is not like me. He wants us to hang around
with him. To bother him. In fact, God practically begs us to
come and spend time with him. But, we would rather do other
things.
My desire should be like that of the Psalmist;
"As a deer longs for a stream of cool water,
so I long for you, O God.
I thirst for you, the living God..."
(Psalms 42:1,2a TEV)
Does this cat want to be with me more than I want to be
with my very creator? The one who gives me life and
loved me enough to die for me.
Shame on me.

This is such a funny-good illustration Luther. Just like a cat, to want to be with the one who could care less. As you said... SO glad God wants our company, ALL the time! Are we blessed or what?
