3. While you are doing your Christmas shopping
consider that Jesus, who Christmas is all about,
said,
"Those who love their father or mother
more than me are not fit to be my disciples;
those who love their son or daughter more than me
are not fit to be my disciples."

When I was a child the Christmas story didn't feel too very different from other Fairy Tales. I am sooooo grateful that, with maturity, came the startling revelation of it's non-fiction nature. Even today, when I sit to consider His having been born into our world, I am simply beyond words.
May that same revelation come to those we love who do not yet know the reality of Who He is. May salvation be their treasured gift this Christmas.
