FRED HOLYE AND EVOLUTION

Fred Hoyle stated this: “Two thousand different
and very complex enzymes are required for a
living organism to exist.  And random shuffling
processes could not form a single one of these
even in 20 billion years.  I don’t know how long
it is going to be before astronomers generally
recognize that the arrangement of not even one
of the many thousand of biopolymers (Life molecules)
on which life depends could have been arrived at by
 natural processes here on earth."

TODAY'S PROMISE

"But consider the joy of those corrected by God!
Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty
when you sin.
For though he wounds, he also bandages.
He strikes, but his hands also heal."

CAUTION

CAUTION,
DANGER AHEAD

We have been being warned for several thousand
years of what is coming on this old world.

The Holy Bible many years ago told us what people
would be like in our day and age.  And, just as it
says, the people of this world are just like it said
they would be.

The Holy Bible told us many, many years ago that
in these end times there would be a one world
government.  And, if you pay any attention to the
news, you know that is being pushed for right now.

The Holy Bible told us that in these last days
this old planet earth would have the catastrophes
we are seeing today such as earth quakes, tsunamis,
famines etc.

ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?

The Bible also tells us that it is going to get
much, much worse.

Anybody that has read the Bible knows that we
have to have a close PERSONAL relationship
to Jesus Christ - or we are not going to make it.

Closer to my point.
Those of us who do know God personally, He
has told us that we have to "hang on" in these
last days.  He uses different terms such as;
endure, be victorious, over come etc.

One of the last times I read through what we
call the "New Testament" I watched for these
warnings.  Would you know that I found at least
fifteen such warnings to us who call ourselves
Christians.

My friend, this old world has a very rough
time coming.  We are exhorted by God Himself
to hang on to Jesus Christ for all we are worth.

Meet me in the sky when Jesus calls us all home.

"It's for you I created the universe [says God].  I love
you.  There's only one catch.  Like any other gift, the
gift of grace can be yours only if you'll reach out and
take it.  Maybe being able to reach out and take it is
a gift, too."

LIFE'S FUTILITY

LIFE'S FUTILITY.

God has permitted me to have a few acres of woods
that I use to "get away from it all" in.  I drive over
to this small patch of woods every chance I get just
to get away from it all.

Now I have learned a long time ago to consult with
God on the many decisions of life.  If I don't, well
I am in trouble.  But, this was one of those times that
it was just something that I wanted to do.  So, I
did it with out getting God's advice.

There is a hollow tree in my patch of woods and
by nature I am a "survivalist" at heart.  So, I wanted
to put some survival gear in that tree hid from the
rest of the world "just in case."

I got a machete and put a protective coating on it
to keep it from rusting.

Then I made myself up a small can with a bail on
it so it could be held over a fire to boil water in,
if necessary.  And then put a protective coating on
it to keep it from rusting also.

Lastly I took a plastic weather proof case and
put in it [I think] something to light fires with.
A solar blanket and some fishing gear.  Stuffing
all of this in the hollow of the tree.

The last time I was over at my woods hid away
I decided to check on my survival gear.  It had
been five or six years since it was all stuffed in
the tree.

Wow!  Just wow is all I can say.
It was like it was all buried in a pile of compost
in the tree.  I had to dig it out.

In addition the tree had grown enough that I
could not even get the tin can out with out
mashing it down.  And the plastic case.  I don't
know.  It is still stuck in the tree.  I cannot get
it out of the hole anymore.

I should know better.  Jesus Christ told us;

"Don't store up treasures here on earth,
where moths eat them and rust destroys them,
and where thieves break in and steal.  Store
your treasures in heaven, where moths and
rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break
in and steal.  Wherever your treasure is, there
the desires of your hear will also be."
(Matthew 6:19-21 NLT)

I should have spent that time and little bit of
money doing something worth while for God.

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Anyone who believes in me may come and drink!
For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water
will flow from his heart'" (When he said 'living water,"
he was speaking of the Spirit who would be given to
everyone believing in him.  But the Spirit had not
yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered
into his glory.)"
(John 7:38,39 NLT)

LESSON FROM A DONKEY

We can learn a lesson from a specific donkey
which lived almost two thousand years ago.

But first an observation about; donkeys, horses,
mules and there kind.

I confess I am not a "horse person".  I have
riden a number of horses and even owned one
that we bought for the kids.  We bought it from
a local respected "horse person" who assured us
it was well "broken" and suitable for the kids.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, and more ha, ha's.

I have learned that donkeys, horses and mules
have a mind of their own, even that ones that
are "broken".

That is why I went back to motorcycles.  At
least they do not have a mind or brain of their
own.

As you know even better than I do, that a horse
or what ever, is of no value to a person until it
has been broken.  It has to be taught to do what
you want it to do, not what it wants to do.  Hence
the task of breaking it's will to make it usable for
you.

Now to the specific donkey that has a lesson for
us.

When Jesus Christ was getting ready for what
we call his triumphant entry into Jerusalem he
sent two of his disciples to get a particular donkey
that was tied up in town.  What made this donkey
special was that it had never been risen on by anyone.
It was "unbroken".

But, when Jesus Christ, it's very creator crawled up
on it's back, it totally submitted with out as much
as one buck.

The point is,
if we would submit ourselves to God he would not
have to "BREAK" us to be of use to God.  We want
to do our own thing and it is going to cost us
dearly.

What does God want of us if we are going to
live with and for him?

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart, O God,
you will not despise."
(Psalms 51:17 NASB)

JOHN MICHAEL FISCHER AND EVOLUTION

John Michael Fischer
In spite of overwhelming evidence that the theory of evolution is dead wrong, many are not ready to throw in the towel.  They desperately hope that some natural process will be found that causes things to fall together into organized complexity.  These are people of great faith.  And they are so afraid of connecting God with science that, like the Japanese Army of World War II, they would rather die than surrender.  Unfortunately, the staunchest defenders sit in places of esteem and authority as professors, scientists, and editors, and have the full faith of the news media.  The public is naturally in awe of their prestige.  But once the facts are understood it becomes obvious that the theory of evolution is long overdue for the trash can, and to perpetuate it is fraud.  Perhaps it made sense for what was known when On the Origin of Species was published in 1859, but not today.

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Those who have been ransomed by the Lord
will return.  They will enter Jerusalem singing,
crowned with everlasting joy.  Sorrow and
mourning will disappear and they will be filled
with joy and gladness."

HOW MUCH HAIR DO YOU HAVE?

HOW MUCH HAIR DO YOU HAVE?

You don't know and neither do I.  In fact even
smart people with a Phd, DD, MD, or any other
kind of D after their name do not know either.

I do know that my wife for years complained that
her hair made her hot and uncomfortable so she
kept it in a short hair style.  But now, she complains
that she has too little and wants a wig.

Hair of course serves a number of purposes for
the body.  For example hair on the head holds
in body heat.  But in observing people it looks
like the major purpose of hair for most people
is to adorn themselves with and attempt to
exemplify something they are not.  You know,
look smart or rugged or unconcerned etc. for
the men.  And for the women - well, lets not
even touch that one.

Closer to my point.  Hair is important, but it
is not one of the major necessities of the body.
Lots of people do quite well with out a head of
hair.  But try doing without a heart, lungs, kidneys,
brain, toe etc.  What I am saying is that the hair
of the head is one of the most minor things of the
body.

Closer to my point.  I love my wife, but I do not
bother to count the hairs on her head.

Now to my point.  God [Yes there is one.] cares
enough about YOU that He even knows how many
hairs you have on your head.  Do you know anybody
else who cares about you that much?

Jesus Christ said;

"What is the price of two sparrows -
one copper coin? But not a single sparrow
can fall to the ground without your Father
knowing it.  And the very hairs on your head
are all numbered.  So don't be afraid; you
are more valuable to God than a whole flock
of sparrows."
(Matthew 10:29-31 NLT)

Now if God loves you that much are you accepting
His love for you?

WERNHER VON BRAUN AND SCIENCE

"My experiences with science led me to God.
To be forced to believe only one conclusion --
that everything in the universe happened
by chance -- would violate the very objectivity
of science itself.  Certainly there are those who
argue that the universe evolved out of a random
process, but what random process could
produce the brain of a man or the system
of the human eye?  Some people say that
science has been unable to prove the existence
of a Designer...  They challenge science to prove
the existence of God.  But, must we really light
a candle to see the sun?"

 --Wernher von Braun 1912 - 1977
"Wernher von Braun is, without doubt,
the greatest rocket scientist in history.
  • His crowning achievement, as head of NASA's
  • Marshall Space Flight Center, was to lead
  •  the development of the Saturn V booster rocket
  • that helped land the first men on the Moon
  • in July 1969." --From NASA's webpage:

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Once again you will have all the food

your God, who does these miracles for you.
Never again will my people be disgraced."
(Joel 2:26 NLT)

JOY, TRUE JOY

JOY, TRUE JOY.

Most people are burdened down with all their
past sins, failures and shortcomings.  It becomes
a load we carry that saps our strength and happiness.
It interferes in our relationships with God and man
resulting in the loss of the joy and happiness that
should be ours.

Is there a way to get rid of this heavy load that
burdens us down?

God offers this advice through king David:

"Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
Yes, what joy for those
whose record the LORD has cleared
of guilt,
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!"

That is great,
but how do I get the past wiped out
and my record set straight?

He continues:

"Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, 'I will confess my rebellion
to the LORD.'
And you forgave me!  All my guilty is gone."
(Psalms 32:1,2,5 NLT)

God is a just God and we will suffer the
consequences of our sins against God and man.

But,
God is a forgiving God and he wants
us to admit it to him so he can forgive
us and clean up our past.  Then we can
have true joy and lightness of heart.

"So great is my veneration of the Bible,
that the earlier my children begin to
read it the more confident will be my
hope that they will prove useful citizens
of their country and respectable members
of society."

- John Quincy Adams
