ANOTHER LESSON FROM NATURE

Notice how in this neglected garden spot

the garlic stalks are leaning - toward the sun.

That is because they need sun for life.

This poor old cedar tree grew to the right to get 

to the sun.  That is, before the two trees were cut

off the stumps to it's left.

Because it's life depends on the sun.

The main part of this tree - the trunk and main branches -

is just left of center on this tree.

But, the tree is growing toward the right which is South,

toward the sun.  It needs sun for life.

You and I are no different.

Jesus Christ the Son of God gives us physical

life.  And he alone can give us spiritual life.

If we want life, real life, we had better be

leaning toward the "Son", the Son of God.

"Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does 

not have the Son of God does not have life."

(1 John 5:12 NIV)

TODAY'S PROMISE

"There will be strange things happing to the sun,

the moon, and the stars  On earth whole countries

will be in despair, afraid of the roar of the sea and

the raging tides.  People will faint from fear as they

wait for what is coming over the whole earth, for 

the powers in space will be driven from their courses.

Then the Son of Man will appear, coming in a cloud

with great power and glory.  When these things

begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads,

because your salvation is near."

1. Meditate on God's Promises.

2. Plead the Promises at the throne of Grace.

3. Act in Faith that God Will Perform His Promises.
