THE PATH TO LIFE

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall
short of God’s glorious standard.”
- Romans 3:23 NLT.

“For the wages of sin is death, but
the free gift of God is eternal life
though Christ Jesus our Lord.”
- Romans 6:23 NLT.

“But God showed his great love
for us by sending Christ to die
for us while we were still sinners.”
- Romans 5:8 NLT.

“If you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in
your heart the God raised him
from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in your heart
that you are made right with God,
and it is by confessing with your
mouth that you are saved.
- Romans 10:9,10 NLT.

“For ‘Everyone who calls on the
name of the Lord will be saved.’”

TODAY'S PROMISE

Jesus Christ said;
"I tell you the truth, those who listen to my
message and believe in God who sent me have
eternal life.  They will never be condemned for
their sins, but they have already passed from
death into life."
(John 5:24 NLT)

"He who loveth God with all his heart
feareth not death, nor punishment,
nor judgment, nor hell, because perfect
love giveth sure access to God.  But he
who still delighteth in sin, no marvel if
he is afraid of death and judgment."

TODAY'S QUOTE

"Some day you will read in the papers the D.L.
Moody of East Northfields is dead.  Don't you believe
a word of it!  At that moment I shall be more alive
than I am now; I shall have gone up higher, that is
all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is
immortal - a body that death, cannot touch, that
cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious
body.
I was born of the flesh in 1837.  I was born of
the Spirit in 1856.  That with is born of the flesh,
may die.  That which is born of the Spirit will live
forever."
- D. L. Moody

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Now listen!  Today I am giving you a choice
between life and death, between prosperity
and disaster.  For I command you this day to
love the LORD your God and to keep his com-
mands, decrees, and regulations by walking in
his ways.  If you do this, you will live and multi-
ply, and the LORD your God will bless you and
the land you are about to enter and occupy."
(Deuteronomy 30:15,16 NLT)

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Therefor dear brothers and sisters, you
have no obligation to do what your sinful
nature urges you to do.  For if you live by
its dictates, you will die.  But if through the
power of the Spirit you put to death the
deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are
 children of God."

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY.

"Death and life are in the power of
the tongue." (Proverbs 18:21 NASB)

Consider the Titanic.
You know the story better than I do.

Allegedly the architect of the ship, Thomas Andrews
states that, "God himself could not sink the ship."

In case you are not aware of it, it's not smart to
put a challenge up before God.  So, April 15, 1912
God showed him differently.  The ship went down with
Andrews himself on board and over 1,500 other lives
with him.

Oh!
By the way, Thomas Andrews knows better now.

I do not know about you, but I want to tame my
careless tongue.

that His death has washed out our sins,
and that by dying He disabled death itself...
That is Christianity.  That is what has to be
believed."

WHY LORD? WHY?

Many of us have had family members or known of
people who were living for God and a blessing to all
around them, and yet had a premature death.

My own son was that way.  A young man helping his
church and it seemed everyone in the community.  Yet
he was killed in an auto accident.  It was one of the
largest funerals I have ever attended because of his
love for God and all around him.

I could not help but wonder, "Why Lord?"  Why some
one like that instead of an old worn out man like me.

I believe the answer is in the Scripture below.

"The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;
And devout men are taken away while no one understands,
For the righteous man is taken away from evil,
He enters into peace;"
(Isiah 57:1,2 NASB)

I feel like God gave me my answer.

POWER OF THE TONGUE

POWER OF THE TONGUE

Did you know that there is a lot of power in our tongue.
Power to help or power to destroy.

The "Good Book" [The Holy Bible] tells us:

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue,"
(Proverbs 18:21 NASB)

The problem is that by our natural nature the tongue
is:

"And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity;
the tongue is set among our members as that which
defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of
our life, and is set on fire by hell."
(James 3:6 NASB)

In the natural state our tongue is set on fire by the very
forces of hell it's self.  That is why we need to turn our
life over to God and invite Jesus Christ to come in and
take control giving us a new nature.  THEN, or tongue
can be a tongue of:

"But the tongue of the wise brings healing."

"The tongue of the wise makes knowledge
acceptable,"

"A soothing tongue is a tree of life."
(Proverbs 12:18, 15:2, 4 NASB)

OUR ALL IN ONE

"In his life, Christ is an example, show-
ing us how to live; in his death, he is a
sacrifice, satisfying for our sins; in his
resurrection, a conqueror; in his ascent-
sion a king; in his intercession, a high
priest."
- Luther.

WARNING

Images courtesy of: www.Pixabay.com

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

BECAUSE

A.  The "Establishment" does not want you to know these facts.
To know them will put you in disfavor with the world system.

B.  You will be held accountable for these facts.  The time is
coming that  you will have to give account for your use or
misuse of them.

FACT NO. 1
"It is certain that all men die one time.  And, the judgment
day comes after death."

FACT NO. 2
"everone has sinned and is far away from God's glory."

FACT NO. 3
"The pay you get for sinning is death."

"And I saw a great white throne and the One who was
sitting on it.  The earth and the sky ran away from His
face, but they could not find any place to hide.  I saw dead
people ---important and unimportant.  They were standing
in front of the throne.  Books were opened.  And another
book -- the Book of Life -- was opened.  The dead were
judged from the things which had been written in the books,
according to the way they had lived.  The ocean yielded
the dead people who were in it.  Death and Hades
yielded the dead people who were in them.  Each person
was judged by the way he had lived.  Death and Hades [Hell]
were thrown into the lake of fire. (The second death is the
same thing as the lake of fire.)  If someone's name was
not found in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake
of fire."

FACT NO. 4
"but God's gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord."

FACT NO. 5
"God loved the people of the world so much that He gave
up His only Son.  Every person who commits himself to
Jesus will not her destroyed.  Instead, that person will have
eternal life.

FACT NO. 6
"While we were still helpless and ungodly, Christ died for us--
at exactly the right time.  It is rare when someone dies for
another person --even for a good person.  However, some do
dare to die for a good man.  But God reasures us of His love
for us in this way: 'While we were still sinners, Christ died
for us.!"

FACT NO. 7
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way and the truth and the life!
The only way anyone can come to the Father is through me!"

FACT NO. 8
"If you confess with your mouth that 'Jesus is Lord' and if
you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from death,
you will be saved.  To become right with God a person believes
with his heart.  Declaring it openly, that person comes into
salvation."

COMFORT IN DEATH

First realize that this Scripture passage is taken out of context.
As it is said, a Scripture taken out of context is a pretext.

This then raises the question who is "good"?
Good according to God, or something that
a person has concocted in their own mind.

In this case it is someone who has been walking and
living with and for God.  And in todays time setting,
that would be someone who has been born of the
Spirit of God.  That is, born again and living with
and for God.

If that describes you,
then this Scripture is for you when  that day comes.

"Good people die, and no
one understands or even
cares.  But when they die, no
calamity can hurt them.  Those
who live good lives find peace and
rest in death."
(Isaiah 57:1,2 GNT)

"Death has nothing terrible which life
has not made so.  A faithful Christian
life in this world is the best preparation
for the next."
- Tryon Edwards

GOD'S REFRESHMENT

I met a man a few nights ago who works long hard days -
seven days a week.  Right now he is young (By my standards.)
and strong.  But you and I both know that in time it will kill
him.  Then, who gets his farm?

That is the why they work political prisoners so hard in slave
labor camps.  They work them to death.

When I was a kid I worked in what we called a packing house.
This one packed the growers lemons.   One of the "bosses" told
my dad that by giving the women a ten minute break in the
morning and another one in the after noon, they got more work
out of them than if they did not have a break.

Years ago I read that Andrew Jackson said he could march his
men further in six days than he could in seven.  Are you getting
the point?

Even Jesus said,
"The Sabbath was made for man,
and not man for the Sabbath."
-Luke 2:27 NKJV

What is the "Sabbath"?  A day of rest.

Hey!  God himself rested on the seventh day.
And he made you so that you need a day of rest.

I am not pushing for some particular day over another
as a Sabbath or day of rest.  Nor am I pushing for a
return to the old Jewish laws.  If you will look it up
the "Sabbath" was given even before the "Law" that
was given up on the mountain.

But I am asking you why you insist on pushing yourself
into a premature death when God wants you to take a
break every week?

PRIORITIES

I HAVE BEEN STARING DEATH IN
THE FACE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS
NOW.

Do I need to tell you that it will change your priorities?

Most of my life I have been sort of a "hot rodder".
But how fast my car is does not matter - now.
In fact, of my several motorcycles,
it does not even matter if they run - now.

The outcome of the world series [What ever that is.]
does not matter.

The size of the house I live in does not matter.
Nor how large or small my bank account is.

When you are looking at death as being just around the
corner, you realize that most of what we think is important
in life is mere frivolous, shallow trivia.

I have more or less lived a "full" life.  I am only 80
years old now.  And if God is willing would like to
do a little more.  But that is in God's hands.

LESSONS.

You may be only one half of my age.  But that does not
mean you will out last me.  How much more of your life
are you going to waste before you stand before the God
who gives you life?

Right now I am living on other people's blood.
The Bible tells us that the life is in the blood.
I will assure you, that is true.

But there is one more fact of life.
Jesus Christ willingly gave his blood for you so
that you can have real life here on earth now and
forever.

You will not make it without the blood of someone
else - the blood of Jesus Christ applied to your life.
Not well now, and certainly not in the life here
after.

TODAY'S PROMISE

"And it is the will of him who sent me
that I should not lose any of all those
he has given me, but that I should raise
them all to life on the last day.  For what
my Father wants is that all who see the
Son and believe in him should have eternal
life.  And I will raise them to life on the
last day."
(John 6:39,40 GNT)

they are as genuine as silver refined
seven times in the furnace."
(Psalms 12:6 GNT)

1. Meditate on God's Promises.
2. Plead the Promises at the throne of Grace.
3. Act in Faith that God Will Perform His Promises.

TRUE LIFE

"But you do not live as your human
nature tells you to; instead, you live
as the Spirit tells you to - if, in fact,
God's Spirit lives in you. Whoever
does not have the Spirit of Christ,
does not belong to him. But if Christ
lives in you, the Spirit is life for you,
because you have been put right with
God, even though your bodies are
going to die because of sin.  If the Spirit
of God, who raised Jesus from death,
lives in you, then he who raised Christ
from death will also give life to your
mortal bodies by the presence of his
Spirit in you."
(Romans 8:9-11TEV)
