CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT.

CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT.

I worked as an automotive tech. for over twenty
five years.  In that time there was one thing I learned.
There is an "unwritten law" in the automotive industry
that consists of only two words, "Change it."

It does not matter if it works well, change it.
But it is easy to repair, then change it.
Hey! it is a great looking vehicle, then change it.

I think it is seven computers I have scattered
around the place.  I have learned to hate "updates".
My experience with "updates" is that generally
they only make it harder to work with.

If I take a computer to the shop for some repair
or other.  They usually make all the latest "updates"
and then I am worse off than before.

Even in the so called "scientific" world.  You have
noticed that over the years the facts change as new
data becomes available.

How about the thousands of laws that are on the
books.  You almost learn to live without getting
into trouble with some law or other when; you
guessed it, a new law changes everything for you.

With all the changes that are taking place in this old
world, it certainly is not the world I grew up in.
If I were as young as you, it might be different but
at this age I want to yell out, "Stop the merry-go-round."
I want a "constant" in life.  Something that does not
change.  Something I can hang on to.

Truly there is one constant that holds me together.
My old body changes.  The family changes.  My
friends change.  My opinion changes.  But,
Jesus Christ NEVER CHANGES.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today,
and forever."
(Hebrews 13:8 NLT)

Jesus Christ still loves me despite my many failures.
He died in my place for me and now lives to help me
through this life.  I may not appreciate some of the
paths he leads me through - but it is for my own good.
Jesus not only will bring me through this old changing
world, but will then allow me to live with him forever.

COMPUTERS MAKE HYPRICITES

Being a very, very old man I grew up in a
"scientific" attitude that if you could not see
it, feel it, taste it, hear it, smell it, measure it,
or weight it; it did not exist.  And therefore a
"spiritual" realm could not exist.

But our computers, radios, iPads, cell phones
and Wepads or what ever else is out there has
made such an attitude utter nonsense.

The picture above is on my computer of a
recent earthquake in California.  But, there
is not so much as even a wire going to my
computer.  No one brought in a picture and
put it on my computer so it must be a fake.

I know.  We can receive and even measure
the strength of these "unseen" radio waves,
IF WE ARE TUNED IN TO THEM.

Even if some fake scientist cannot measure
a spiritual realm, there is one.  He/she/it is
just not tuned in to the "spiritual realm".
Probably because they do not want to be,
just like I could refuse to accept that my
computer works even if I do not understand
how it works.

God is.  And those of us who are willing
to submit to him and come into relationship
with him are just as aware of his existance
and and sense his presence as easily as to
use a computer and use WiFi which we
cannot see, feel, touch, smell or hear.

INSIGHT INTO PRAYER

The caption for this image called it a computer screen
plantation.  Now we know where computer screens
come from and that this was a crop from a few years
ago.  I have learned a lot today.  But what has that to
do with prayer?

More seriously.
That happens to be about the number of computers we
have around the house and in my office - that are on
the internet.  So,  this has helped me to understand
prayer better to.

I still do not know how God can hear and answer
prayer individually to millions of people at the same
time.  It would seem impossible.  But just on our
LAN we have eight or ten computers.  All going
through one router from one internet provider.
And, we can all be on the same or different web
sites receiving or sending information while a
million or more other people are doing the same
thing.

If mankind in his stupidity  can do that, well God
is infinitely further ahead and can do even more.
Is it any wonder that God can hear and answer
millions of prayers at the same time?

What a great God I serve.

WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?

This girl here,

was sitting at her computer down in the corner by the little
window.  And I was sitting arms length away at my computer,
the big one with the big screen.  We were each doing our
 own thing on our computers.

When "that" girl emailed me to tell me she was hungry and
wanted a snack.

What happened to talking.  You know, communication.
How will we converse if the electricity goes off?

Come quickly Lord Jesus.
