IS YOUR WORLD FALLING APART?

IS YOUR WORLD FALLING APART?

There are times that life just gets to be too much
to bear.  The reasons are many.  They can be from
physical problems, financial problems, family
 problems, work problems, emotional problems
or even just plain old every day boredom.  But,
regardless of the reasons we become tired of the
whole thing of life.

There is an answer.  Jesus Christ practically begs
us to take them to him.  He wants to help us with
the load in our lives.

I have found for myself that as I take each day
and it's problems to Jesus Christ - things just
plain and simple work out better.

"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you
who are weary ad carry heavy burdens, and I
will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you.  Let
me teach you because I am humble and gentle
at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I
give you is light.'"
(Matthew 11:28 - 30 NLT)

Roll that burden or problem over on to Jesus
Christ and see if He doesn't do a better job
of handling it than you can.

TODAY'S PROMISE

"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you

will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you.  Let

at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

give you is light.'"

I WOULD FLY AWAY AND REST

I do not know about you.  But I am getting really
tired of all the misinformation and lies that have
been fed to the public the last few weeks.  It is
becoming obvious that the "crises" is being fueled
and used in an effort to bring the whole world under
government control - no matter what country you
live in - a world controlled by the government.

God's word told us these days were coming, and
here they are, whether we like it or not.

But being so tired of it all the 55th Psalm made
a real impression on me today.  The Scriptures
quoted are from Psalm 55 in the NLT.

This is king David pleading with God when he
was in a whole lot of trouble by those who hated
him.  His troubles were not the same as yours
and mine, but we can learn where to go by them.

"Listen to my prayer, O God.
Do not ignore my cry for help!
Please listen and answer me,
for I am overwhelmed by my
troubles."
(Verses 1,2)

And king David wanted out of it just like
you and I would.

"Oh, that I had wings like a dove;
then I would fly away and rest!
I would fly far away
to the quiet of the wilderness.
How quickly I would escape -
far from this wild storm of hatred."
(Verses 6 - 8)

We know that in time David was delivered
out of these troubles and in the next to last
verse in this chapter he gives us the necessary
clue for the help we need.

"Give your burdens to the LORD,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to
slip and fall."
(Verse 22)

USELESS BURDENS

(Images courtesy of:www.Pixabay.com)

Why do those of us who are Christians insist on carrying
useless burdens?

Those who belong to this old world do not know any better.
They think that the more they have to carry through life,
the better off they are.

It is interesting that when Jesus called Simon Peter and
his fishing buddies to go with him,
"They pulled the boats up on the beach,
left everything, and followed Jesus."

And when Jesus called Levi the tax
collector,
"Levi got up, left everything and
follow him."
(Luke 5:11 & 28 GNT)

I know a certain woman, who I will not name for
my own personal safety,  who decided to clear
out her "excess" clothing.  She donated it to
a homeless shelter and a battered women's
shelter.

I am not exaggerating, I helped load it, I know.
It was three SUV loads.  It would have filled
my little pickup.  Now how can one woman
wear that much in just one lifetime?

[Did you notice, I did not say anything about
how much I might have passed on?]

"What did we bring into the world?
Nothing!
What can we take out of the world?
Nothing!
So then, if we have food and clothes,
that should be enough for us."
(1 Timothy 6:7,8 GNT)

WHERE BURDENS ARE LIFTED

William R. Newell
gave the answer when
he wrote:

  1. Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
    On Calvary.
    • By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
      To Calvary.
  2. Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing
    Of Calvary!
  3. Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
    At Calvary!
  4. Refrain:
    Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
    Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
    At Calvary.
