READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

WARNING
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

BECAUSE.

A.  The "Establishment" does not want you to know
these facts.  To know them will put you in
disfavor with the world system.

B.  You will be held accountable for these facts.
The time is coming that you will have to give
account for your use or misuse of them.

Fact No. 1

"It is certain that all men die one time.
And the Judgment Day comes after
death"

Fact No. 2

"everyone has sinned and is far away
from God's glory."

Fact No. 3

"The pay you get for sinning is death."
"And I saw a great white throne and
the One who was sitting on it.  The
earth and the sky ran away from His
face, but they could not find any place
to hide.  I saw dead people --- important
and unimportant.  They were standing
in front of the throne.  Books were opened.
And another book  -- the Book of Life --
was opened.  The dead were judged from
the things which had been written in the
books, according to the way they had lived.
The ocean yielded the dead people who
were in it.  Death and Hades yielded the
dead people who were in them.  Each
person was judged by the way he had
lived.  Death and Hades were thrown
into the lake of fire.  (The second death
is the same thing as the lake of fire.) If
someone's name was not found in the
Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake
of fire."

Fact No. 4

"but God's gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus,
our Lord."

Fact No. 5

"God loved the people of the world so much
that He gave up His only Son.  Every person
who commits himself to Jesus will not be
destroyed.  Instead, that person will have
eternal life."

Fact No. 6.

"While we were still helpless and ungodly,
Christ died for us -- at exactly the right
time.  It is rare when someone dies for another
person -- even for a good person.  However,
some do dare to die for a good man.  But God
reassures us of His love for us in this way.
While we were still sinners, Christ died for
us."

Fact No. 7

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way the truth
and the life!  The only way anyone can come
to the Father is through me!"

Fact No. 8

"If you confess with your mouth that 'Jesus
is Lord' and if you believe in your heart that
God raised Jesus from death, you will be saved.
To become right with God a person believes
with his heart.  Declaring it openly, that person
comes into salvation."

(Quotations taken from the Bible.)

WELL!

What are going to do about it?

RELIGION WILL SEND YOU TO HELL

RELIGION WILL SEND YOU TO HELL

"SLAVATION"

"Let us begin by understanding each other.
When we speak about salvation we are not talking
about religion.
"Many people suppose that Salvation and Religion
are the same thing, but that is a mistake.  Salvation
and Religion are by no means identical.  You may have
a great deal of Religion without having a bit of
salvation.

"It is true that the Bible speaks of a Religion which
is 'pure and undefiled,' but even this Religion is not
Salvation, but only a product of Salvation.  The
Bible frequently warns against Religion as a
substitute for Salvation.

"The dictionary will tell you that the word "Religion"
is derived from a root meaning 'to heed' or 'to have a
care.'  It is the opposite of 'neglect.'

"It is a good thing to take heed and have a care for
the things of God, but even this will avail nothing
unless it leads to Salvation.

"Religion by itself is death.  Salvation is Life.

"How is Salvation Obtained?

"No one gets Salvation by getting Religion.  Nor
by joining the Church.  Nor by turning over a new
leaf and trying to serve God.  Nor by praying.  Nor
by confessing his sins.  (The promise of 1 John 1:9
is for those already saved).  Nor by sorrow for sin.
Nor by asking God to forgive his sins.  By none of
these means is Salvation obtained.

"Salvation is obtained through a definite receiving of
the Lord Jesus Christ as one's personal Savior.  The
instant this is really done, Salvation is an accomplished
fact.  This is shown by John 1:11,12.  'He came unto
His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many
as received Him, to them gave He power to become
the sons of God, even to them which believe on His
name.'

"The next verse goes on to tell what happened to those
who 'received Him,' that is, those who 'believed on
His name.'  They were at once 'born...of God.'

"Just so it is today.  As many as receive the Lord Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior, giving up all else and
cleaving only to Him for Salvation, are instantly and
forever saved.  His own declaration of John 5:24 stands
good through all time; - -

"'Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hearth My word,
and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed
from death unto life.'

"Salvation is in Three Tenses

"There is the past tense.  When a man takes the Lord
Jesus as his own Savior, he may at once and ever after
truly say, 'I am saved!'  Putting the matter in the past
tense as to the time, he may truly say, 'Then and there
I was saved!'  This work is instantaneous; it is Salvation
from the penalty of sin.

"'There is the present tense.  When a man is born again,
the Holy Spirit begins to work in him, both to will and
to do of God's good pleasure, and to conform him to the
image of Christ. This work is progressive; it is Salvation
from the power of sin.

""There is the future tense.  When the Lord Jesus comes
again it will be 'apart from sin, unto Salvation' (Heb. 9:28)
It is then that we who are now the sons of God will be
instantly changed into the image of Christ: 'we shall be
like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.'  (1 John 3:2).

This is instantaneous; it is Salvation from the presence
of sin."

TODAY'S PROMISE

"My dear children, I am writing this to you
so that you will not sin.  But if anyone does
sin, we have a advocate who pleads our case
before the Father.  He is Jesus Christ, the one
who is truly righteous.  He himself is the sari-
fice that atones for our sins - and not only our
sins but the sins of all the world."
(1 John 2:1,2 NLT)

HOW TO LAY DOWN LIFE'S LOADS

I have noticed an interesting phenomenon in my life a
few times that did not make sense to me at the
time.  That of course is because I am not as smart
as you are.

However reading in my Bible a few days ago
I read one of the Psalms that stood out differently
this time and to myself explained why things
worked the way they do.

You see I am not perfect like you are.  Sometimes
I plain old every day mess up.  And by that I mean
I do not always live the way God wants me to.  And
generally then things begin to drag or the luster of
life disappears and sometimes even my body just
don't feel as good as it should.

But I have noted that when I went to God in a
really honest serious way and intended to do
differently things changed.  Simply a "sorry"
God in passing does not do it.

Here is the portion of Scripture that helped
me get a better grasp on the situation.

"When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
Day and night your hand of discipline
was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water
in the summer heat.
Finally I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, 'I will confess my rebellion
to the LORD.'
And you forgave me!  All my guilt is gone."
(Psalms 32:3 - 5 NLT)

I know from the Scriptures that there are some
"sins" that will actually effect our bodies.
So, there was not only the guilt of displeasing
God by my actions, but it actually was "dragging"
my body down.

But when I took it to God in a really
serious honest way seeking his forgiveness
usually by the next day I was back on the
top of life enjoying the goodness of God.

Is your life weighted down in one way or
another?  Is the luster and joy of life gone?
Then go to God and honestly turn it all over
to Him as it were, taking Him by the hand
with the full intent of walking and living
with and for Him.

TODAY'S QUOTE

"He who loveth God with all his heart
feareth not death, nor punishment,
nor judgment, nor hell, because perfect
love giveth sure access to God.  But he
who still delighteth in sin, no marvel if
he is afraid of death and judgment."
-Thomas A. Kempis

TODAY'S PROMISE

"So also Christ died once for all time
as a sacrifice to take away sins of many
people.  He will come again, not to deal
with our sins, but to bring salvation to
all who are eagerly waiting for him."
(Hebrews 9:28 NLT)

JOY, TRUE JOY

JOY, TRUE JOY.

Most people are burdened down with all their
past sins, failures and shortcomings.  It becomes
a load we carry that saps our strength and happiness.
It interferes in our relationships with God and man
resulting in the loss of the joy and happiness that
should be ours.

Is there a way to get rid of this heavy load that
burdens us down?

God offers this advice through king David:

"Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
Yes, what joy for those
whose record the LORD has cleared
of guilt,
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!"

That is great,
but how do I get the past wiped out
and my record set straight?

He continues:

"Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, 'I will confess my rebellion
to the LORD.'
And you forgave me!  All my guilty is gone."
(Psalms 32:1,2,5 NLT)

God is a just God and we will suffer the
consequences of our sins against God and man.

But,
God is a forgiving God and he wants
us to admit it to him so he can forgive
us and clean up our past.  Then we can
have true joy and lightness of heart.

GET THE TRASH OUT

GET THE TRASH OUT.

Do you ever feel like the dumpster above, full of trash?
I often do.  It can be the result of attitudes, wrong actions,
moods, events or just about anything.  It can make a person
feel like they need a good scrubbing on the inside.

The good news is that something can be done about it.
Consider King David.  One evening he saw another man's
wife taking a bath.  I guess she was prettier than his own
wife.  The result was he lusted for her.  Then he found a
way to get her and you know what he did.  Now he was
guilty of adultery.  Then in an attempt to cover it up he
had her husband killed.  Now he is also a murder.  BUT,
it was not hid from God.  God let David know in no
uncertain terms that he had screwed up big time and really
King David deserved to die.

However, King David also knew that there can be
forgiveness from God.  Listen to David's words as he
calls out to God.

"Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your
lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity
And cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions,
And my sin is ever before me."

***********
"Creat in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
(Psalms 51:1-3 & 10 NASB)

Do you want to feel clean and new inside?
You can.

Obviously if you continue the way you have
been going, what's going to change?  First we
have to turn and go with God.  We need to submit
to God and allow him to become our Lord, Master
and Savior.  Remember, He loved us enough to
come down to earth and became a man like us
named Jesus Christ.  Then he died as a sacrifice in
our place, if we will accept it.

Then as we begin to live with and for God He
tells us;

"If we confess out sins, He is faithful and
righteous to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
(1 John 1:9 NASB)

God wants to clean us up inside and out.
Go talk to Him about it.

TODAY'S PROMISE

"My little children, I am writing these things to you
so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have
and Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not
for ours only, but also for those of the whole world."
(1 John 2:1,2 NASB)

whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes
no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no
deceit."

WHERE BURDENS ARE LIFTED

William R. Newell
gave the answer when
he wrote:

  1. Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
    On Calvary.
    • By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
      To Calvary.
  2. Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing
    Of Calvary!
  3. Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
    At Calvary!
  4. Refrain:
    Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
    Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
    At Calvary.

GOOD PREACHING ?

We all appreciate preaching that encourages us.
Preaching that uplifts us.
Preaching that makes us feel good.
I know I do.

The Israelites did too.
In fact, that is the kind of preaching that was in
Jerusalem before it's fall to Babylonia.

The prophet Jeremiah said,

"Your prophets had nothing to tell you but lies;
Their preaching deceived you by never
exposing your sin.  They made you think
you did not need to repent."
(Lamentations 2:14 TEV)

That sounds a whole lot like the preaching
in the United States today.

But, will we ever learn from others?

UNANSWERED PRAYER?

"Behold,
the LORD'S hand is not shortened that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid his face from you,
that he will not hear."
(Isaiah 59:1,2 KJV)

KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER

"Don't think that the LORD is too week
to save you or too deaf to hear your call for help!
It is because of your sins that he doesn't hear you.
It is your sins that separate you from God
when you try to worship him."
(Isaiah 59:1,2 GNB)

MAN'S WAY, HIDE IT.

After removing a large trash pile from the hill side it left an open area vulnerable
to erosion.  Something needed to be done to keep the soil from ending up in
the ravine.

It seemed logical to use what was at hand.  That is, several dead trees and some
of the trash pile that would make a suitable trash line forming a small
terrace.

On the uphill side of the tree trunk (Right side.) is the trash line.  You don't see the trash
because I did not like the looks of the trash.  So, I buried it under leaves.
But the trash is still there.

Another terrace.  The same hill side, a little further up.  And - more buried trash.
(On the left side this time.) This time buried under mostly decayed wood and dirt.
But the trash is still there.

That is the way mankind does it.  If we don't like the looks of it - or want other
people to see it, we hide it, or try to.

It has been that way from the beginning of time.  Our first ancestors sinned
and tried to hide it by sewing fig leaves together for clothes.
It did not work.  They knew and God knew.

Then their kid Cane killed his brother Able and tried to hide it by burying his
brother.  It did not work.  He knew and God knew.

We try to hide our sins, mistakes, short coming etc.  But they and/or
their effects are still there.

BUT GOOD NEWS.

God has another way.

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and there is no truth in us.
But if we confess our sins to God,
he will keep his promise and do what is right:
he will forgive us our sins and
PURIFY
us from all our wrongdoing.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make a liar
out of God, and his word is not in us."
(1 John 1:8-10 GNB)

Pure, clean, gone.
Another place it says,

"As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our
sins from us."
(Psalms 103:12 GNB)
