THE CAT

One of the things my wife does is pet sit.  It works well
for her and pays well also.  For about the last week she
has been taking care of an elderly lady's cats.  In this case
the wife just drops by once a day and takes care of all the
cat needs.

Earlier this week my wife stopped by to take care of the
cats as we were on our way to a funeral.  The old lady
lives in a large expensive house in a gated community.
One of the things that got my attention was that there was
lots of room in the house.  It was vary spacious.  Not packed
with furniture or filled with all kinds of stuff.  Just very
simple.  I loved it.

In the process of getting me in [and out of her way] we
accidentally left the kitchen door open to the garage and
one of the garage doors was up about eight or ten inches.
The lady has six cats and a number of them had found their
way into the garage.  But one of the cats could not be located.

My wife has hunted for that cat for four days now.  All to
no avail.  We both have been praying over the matter.  It
is a serious matter to us to take care of peoples pets and
then loose them.  So a lot of prayer and hunting has gone
into finding that cat.

My wife left a note of apology to the lady who was to
come home today.  The elderly lady called my wife to
tell her she was home and ALL of the cats were there.

We do not know if that cat was hiding on a chandelier,
or if God opened the front door and pushed it in.  But as
far as we are concerned, God answered our prayers.

PRAISE GOD FOR RETURNING A CAT.

SAVING YOUR LIFE

"I count all that part of my life
lost which I spent not in communion
with God, or in doing good."
- Donne

"Only one life, 'twill soon be past,
Only what's done for Christ will last,
And when I am dying, how happy I'll be,
If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee."
C.T. Studd

"For if you want to save your own life,
you will lose it;
but if you lose your life for my sake,
you will find it."
(Matthew 16:25 GNT)

LOST AND FOUND

My wife has a small house cleaning business.
She had just added a new client who has the prospect
of being one of the better ones.

After only two cleaning sessions the lady of the house had
one of her rings missing.  And it was a special ring.  One that
her husband gave her for their twenty fifth wedding anniversary.
(No, the picture above is not it.  That's my old ring.)

We can only imagine the thoughts that went through her mind.
A new house cleaning lady and the ring comes up missing.
She of course called and talked to the wife.  She did not accuse
the wife of taking it, but....   And the next house cleaning session
was cancelled.  That was not good news.

By this time I was praying about the matter.  My prayer of course
was that the wife would be vindicated, but also that it would be
obvious that the Lord's hand was in the matter.

At the next scheduled cleaning session the lady told my wife
that the Lord woke her up at two thirty in the morning and
showed her where the ring was.

She wanted to put off checking it out until morning.
But that was not to be.  So at two thirty in the morning
she got up, went out of the house to the horse trailer.
Then finding the jacket that the Lord showed her,
she put her hand into the pocket the Lord had shown
her - AND FOUND THE RING.

IS GOD GREAT OR WHAT?
